Corel Painter. Based on an image by Paul Bonner. These are the results of me trying to learn to paint. I copied these to learn how. Also, I have to thank Ryan Wood for showing me some great techniques in Painter! Sam, I wish I'd have listened sooner. This image was MUCH faster than images I painted in Photoshop.
Oil on board. Based on an image by Burt Silverman. Obviously, Burt did it much better, but I learned a ton about color. I did this one while I was taking Bob Barrett's head painting class at BYU.

I like the stuff you create. Next year I plan on going into college for graphic arts and it's nice to see a benchmark of someone that just recently got out of college to see the point I should be developing up to.

Nice work.
looks like i need to give painter another try.....
that top one looks especially good. It. I don't know if that one is the one Ryan Wood was helping you with, but it looks like it's got some of his style in it.
These look.. amazing. Wow, Brian.
Brian, you need to draw and paint more. Or at least post up what you're doing. You've got a great talent and it'd be a shame if it went to waste eternally in FX land. (I'm still hoping to snatch you over to work in concept sometime in the future when I have some influence with the powers that be)
Listen, Brian! Draw and paint and post more! Keep it coming!
