Better colors!

Thanks for your comments, everybody--- Yeah, the color on this frustrated me to no end so I ended up repainting it. Not done by any means, but this nice cliche color scheme seems to work a lot better! Hooray!

Painted Girl

My reasons for this recent painting escapade are many, and include but are not limited to this one: I wanted to be able to design for 3d. I figure if it can look good painted it's much more useful for 3d. Also, I want to get a job. Someday. We'll see.

Anyhow, this image is basically one day's (today's) work.

Girl Sketch

I've switched gears again. I actually intend to paint this one as well, using a different approach. By the way, the story behind this is (not finished) as follows: It was prophesied that this girl's father would save his people from a terrible evil. Well, the terrible evil came, and he went to face it. He was killed. Now, she is holding his sword, trying to figure out what to do and what went wrong. She doesn't know that she will be the one saving the people... Indirectly, it will still be fulfilled.

This is he again, after some further advice from Jeff Bunker. Also, for some reason, viewing this image in a web browser is washing out the colors. Viewing it in photoshop or something looks much more vibrant. It's not my monitor, either, because I've tried it on multiple machines... weird.

OK, so, at his point, I have recognized many design flaws with my space dude. I've attempted to fix some of them. I drew him really quickly because I just wanted to paint something... Now I realize I should have been more careful in the design and drawing. Also, this mac keyboard and I don't get along well.

My pen leaked. On purpose.

So, after talking to Jake Wyatt, I decided to post a full page of fully self indulgent doodles. Yes, they are mine. No, I don't expect them to get me anywhere in any art field. Yes it was drawn on lined paper at work. Hooray!

OK, this is taking longer than I intended for a couple reasons: 1, I'm still trying to figure out how to do this, and 2, I've just been doing small chunks of time on it. I think a second one will be faster.

Also- help, anyone?
