Jungle Ascent PROOFS!

The proofs of Jungle Ascent are in!  Phil posted some pics of his proofs over on the kickstarter page, but I thought I'd add some pics myself!  The printing turned out AMAZING.  It went way past my expectations!  The cards feel great, the colors are super vibrant, the box and board are nice and glossy...  It looks so good!  This is really the fulfillment of a life goal for me!  I can't wait to see it on the shelves!

They are printing all pre-ordered copies right now, so they should be shipping in the not too distant future.  I don't really have any say in that, so, I hope it's soon!

How I created Jungle Ascent

I've posted a story about how I created Jungle Ascent on boardgamegeek.com.  I started this game when I was in middle school, forgot about, worked on it more during high school, forgot about it again, and finally brought it to completion after graduating college.  It's been a loooooong process, and I'm really proud of the result.  Check it out!

I am about to accomplish one of my life goals!  Jungle Ascent, my new board game, is being published by 5th Street Games, and it should be up for pre-order this fall!

Right now, I'm feverishly trying to finish all the artwork in between my regular job, family reunions, and trying to maintain my sanity.  Wish me luck!  It's been a long, long, difficult project.  Sarah, THANK YOU for all your help and support!  You have been the number one biggest help (playtesting, prototyping, videoing, endless awesomeness)!  I also need to thank my friends and family who have given me encouragement, playtesting, criticism, and enthusiasm.  I'll try to get a better thank you list together shortly!  Also, a special thanks goes to the Board Game Designers Guild of Utah, who have been absolutely indispensable in making Jungle Ascent polished, balanced, and fun.  Thanks, everyone!

The Road to Canterbury Illustrations

I did these illustrations for Eagle Games' "The Road to Canterbury". The designer, Alf Seegert, asked me to do them, and the tone of the game is so awesome I couldn't resist! Check it out! The game currently has a few days left on Kickstarter.
